Scharia geprüft und abgelehnt?

Ob die Ankündigung einer gründlichen Revision der britischen Multikulturalismus-Politik im Zusammenhang mit dem Ansinnen steht, das der Muslim Council of Britain kürzlich an Ruth Kelly herantrug, sei dahingestellt. Angeblich will die “Ministerin für Gemeinschaften” (sic) demnächst in einer Grundsatzrede einen neuen Schwerpunkt setzen:

Ruth Kelly is to signal a major shift in Government thinking on the value of multiculturalism by questioning whether it is leading to segregated communities.

The Communities Secretary will undo decades of state support for the idea that different faiths should not be forced to integrate but should be allowed to maintain their own culture and identities.

In a keynote speech, Miss Kelly will say: ‘We have moved from a period of near uniform consensus on the value of multiculturalism, to one where we can encourage that debate by questioning whether it is encouraging separateness.’
