Ungeliebte Hamas

In den Palästinensergebieten ist doch noch nicht alle Hoffnung verloren: Nur eine Minderheit von 26% der Palästinenser, so eine Umfrage der An-Najah National University, teilt die Auffassung der Hamas, dass die Institutionen der PLO sie nicht repräsentieren. Auf der anderen Seite sind 65% der Auffassung, dass sich die Sicherheitslage im Gazastreifen seit der Machtübernahme durch die Hamas verschlechtert habe:

Die Hamas hat es sich bei den Palästinensern recht gründlich verscherzt, und das sind allemal gute Nachrichten. Gleichwohl geben nur wenige der Befragten dem Friedensprozess eine Chance. Gerade einmal 24% glauben, dass die für kommenden Herbst anberaumte internationale Konferenz etwas bringen werde.
