Unheilige Allianz
Bei weitem nicht alle, aber auch nicht wenige Linke haben nur zu gern den Schulterschluss mit Autokraten und Potentaten verschiedenster Couleur gesucht, wenn es darum ging, den Kampf gegen Kapitalismus und Coca Cola aufzunehmen. Und das gilt bis heute. Einen der Gründe für diese unheilige Allianz nennt Daniel Pipes:
Islamism has historic and philosophic ties to Marxism-Leninism. Sayyid Qutb, the Egyptian Islamist thinker, accepted the Marxist notion of stages of history, only adding an Islamic postscript to them; he predicted that an eternal Islamic era would come after the collapse of capitalism and Communism. Ali Shariati, the key intellectual behind the Iranian revolution of 1978–79, translated Franz Fanon, Che Guevara, and Jean-Paul Sartre into Persian. More broadly, the Iranian analyst Azar Nafisi observes that Islamism “takes its language, goals, and aspirations as much from the crassest forms of Marxism as it does from religion. Its leaders are as influenced by Lenin, Sartre, Stalin, and Fanon as they are by the Prophet.”
Vor einiger Zeit hat Ladan Boroumand im Interview ebenfalls darauf hingewiesen, wie eng die ideologische Nähe zwischen Islamisten und Linken tatsächlich ist:
Only ten chapters of John Locke were available in Farsi in 1979 in a book that had not been on the market for 20 years. Liberal ideas were almost non-existent while Lenin, Marx, Fanon were systematically translated.
Pipes’ Behauptung, “Islamists accept the free market” sollte sich damit übrigens von selbst erledigt haben.
Naja der Satz “Islamists accept the free market” ist genauso richtige (oder falsch) wie der Satz, das sie ihn akzeptieren würden.
Kommt immer darauf an wer gemeint ist.
Ich wüsste kein Beispiel für Islamisten, die jemals für den freien Markt gewesen wären.
Och ich kenne einige türkische Islamisten (auch persönlich), die das durchaus sagen würden. Man muss halt bei “Islamist” nicht sofort an Bin Laden oder Co. denken.
